About Me: Anna Pavlou

Anna ‘Pav’ Pavlou is a 21-year-old born and bred Melburnian and enjoys sharing everyone’s connection to sport through her words.

Pav is 1116 SEN’s National Morning News Reader. Last summer, she was an Editorial Assistant at Cricket Australia.

She has just completed her final year of her Bachelor of Media and Communications (Sports Journalism) course at La Trobe University.

She also interned with Carlton Football Club in 2022.

‘Pav’ previously wrote for The Women’s Game, The Footy Almanac, The Roar, The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) and was the VAFA Division 2 scribe. She interned St Kilda Football Club.

She appears every Sunday on NorthWest FM- VAFA Radio Show.

​She has been published in The Age newspaper, Carlton Football Club as well as the Shared Stories Anthology.

​Anna is a sports nut who has a passion for the Geelong Cats Football Club, Melbourne Storm and the Australian Cricket Team.

Most Winter weekends you’ll find her down at the Ross Gregory Oval in St Kilda, supporting Power House AFC, who play in Division 2 in the VAFA. Or sitting in her usual seat in the Players Stand down at Kardinia Park.

During Summer, you’ll find her in the MCC Members cheering on the Green and Gold or Melbourne Stars.
